Wedding QR codes for guest photos

Updated 16 October 2026

A wedding photo QR code is a small printed code, usually on a table card or welcome sign, that guests scan with their phone camera. It opens a page where they can upload the photos and videos they’ve taken straight to the couple.

What guests do

  1. Open the phone camera and point it at the QR code. Every modern iPhone and Android phone reads QR codes without an app.
  2. Tap the link that pops up. Your upload page opens in their browser.
  3. Tap the upload button, pick photos and videos from their camera roll, and that’s it.

There’s nothing to install and no account to make, which is the main reason QR codes collect far more photos than shared albums or apps.

Where the photos go

This depends on the service. Some keep your photos on their own servers and charge you to keep or download them. Petal QR works differently: every upload goes straight into a folder in your own Google Drive, in full quality, and stays there whether or not you keep using us.

What to look for

Printing your QR table cards

With Petal QR you can download matching table cards in A6 (four to an A4 sheet), 4 × 6, 5 × 7 and business-card sizes, or just the QR code on its own to send to your stationer.
